Specific skills and backgrounds that we are looking for:

• 3-7 years of experience in handling independent center operations, preferably education centers or
vocational training centers. Work experience in Maharashtra is ideal but not mandatory

• Undergraduate degree or higher

• Effective written and verbal communication skills

• Experience of working with multiple stakeholders

• Experience in and comfortable with MS office (esp. excel)

• Comfort with Marathi is a strong plus, but not mandatory

• Social communications experience is a plus, but not mandatory

• Experience working in sanitation would be very useful but not mandatory

Role

We are looking to hire a talented, proactive and driven individual with strong business acumen, critical thinking, managing and communication skills to fill the role of World Toilet College Manager for a period of one year till the end of 2019.

This person will be responsible for the overall operations of the Center in Aurangabad and for the training and placements of sanitation workers. The role will be based out of Aurangabad and will report into the Project Lead, based in Delhi.

The role will not only help create real measurable impact but will also provide an opportunity to work with senior leaders from RB, Jagran, Dalberg and other key stakeholders and participate in some high visibility events and programs. The role provides an all-round experience of running an end-to-end initiative that’s both challenging and rewarding.

In particular, the role involves the following functions:

1. Trainee Recruitment
Ensure consistent mobilization communication to sanitation workers by mobilizers, timely and accurate selection of training batches as per the provided selection criteria format, after approval from Project Lead. The goal is to train and place nearly 2000 sanitation workers over two years and this will need a robust trainee mobilization and selection process.

2. Training delivery
Ensure quality of teaching, on time services and batch schedule adherence, co-ordination with on-ground training partners and monitoring of their performance.

3. Employment partnerships
Build relationships with placement agencies and employers and ensure timely placement of trained candidates through proactive planning and co-ordination with placement agencies and employers. Some of these partnerships with employers are already established but the Center Manager will be responsible for striking more employment partnerships with local employers in Aurangabad and surrounding areas.

4. College operations and administration
a. Ensuring compliance to defined operating process for the Center and carrying out process
improvements as needed
b. Recruiting of Center staff as needed and ensuring capacity utilization with high productivity
c. Ensures that project milestones, as laid down in workplan are met and approved budget is
adhered to
d. Build relationships with community leaders, organizations, local media and local government
and leverage them for success of the college

5. Reporting
a. Ensuring regular reporting to the project lead and other stakeholders involved in the project
b. Adherence to communication and reporting matrix provided by Project Lead
c. Document project experiences / learning / achievement / activities and share with
management team at a regular basis
